How do we get started?  You have already completed the first step by checking out this website.  The next step is to call or email Cari’s Custom Organizing and I will talk you through the rest of the process.  We will schedule a free assessment to determine your organizing needs, and then we can talk about a budget and create our plan.  It is easy!

Do I have to be around while you organize?  Each client is unique.  Some people like to be there and go through the process with us, and some like to answer my questions and then leave me alone to do the work.  I am happy working whichever way the client is most comfortable.

Do I have to get rid of things, and if so, how?  In most situations one cause of clutter is too many belongings.  I can ask you questions and give you ways to figure out which things you are willing to get rid of.  I will also supply resources to let you choose if you want to donate or sell or trash different items.

Do you offer any assistance if I want to do the organizing myself?  Yes.  You can hire me to only prepare a “Plan of Action”, and then take it from there on your own, or hire me to see the process through with you.

What forms of payment do you accept?  Our preferred method of payment is cash, check, or cashiers check.  We can also accept credit cards if necessary.

What happens if I cancel a job I have put a deposit on?  If you cancel more than 48 hours before the job is scheduled, I will give you a full refund of your deposit.

What are your hours?  I like to work between 9am and 2pm Monday through Friday.  However, I can be flexible, and am willing to work certain afternoons, evenings, or weekends if scheduled in advance.  The hourly rate is higher on weekends and evenings.  For many jobs, I like to schedule no more than 3 or 4 hours on each job per day so that our decision making can be fresh!

Can I give your services as a gift?  Yes.  I would be happy to provide a gift certificate for you to give as a gift.
